What are the eligibility criteria for the NTSE paper?
Candidates who have studied in schools located in India will be selected based on their performance in the screening examination. Candidates who have Indian nationality but have studied abroad are also eligible to appear directly for the second level (Stage II) examination. Candidates must have passed Class 9 with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidate must be a student of a registered school. Students who are currently enrolled in an Open Distance Learning program are also eligible to apply for the exam, provided they are below 18 years of age on July 1 of the same year in which they appear for the exam. Candidates who have successfully cleared Stage I of NTSE will be eligible to appear in the Stage II examination.
